On Monday, U.S. stocks exhibited a mostly upward trend as investors prepared for a significant week filled with economic data in anticipation of the Federal Open Market Committee's decision next week. The S&P 500 inched up by 0.2%, and the Nasdaq climbed 0.6%, while the Dow Jones remained nearly unchanged. Investors are keenly focused on inflation data, with the upcoming Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) reports anticipated to provide further insights into inflationary pressures. The market has nearly completely factored in a rate cut from the Federal Reserve this month, particularly after the release of last week's lackluster employment report. Moreover, the Bureau of Labor Statistics' preliminary benchmark revision of employment levels for the 12 months ending in March is set to attract attention.
