The Polish economy grew by 3.9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, accelerating from 3.5% in the previous quarter and slightly exceeding the preliminary estimate of 3.8%. Gross fixed capital formation rose by 8.4%, a marked increase from 2.4% in Q1, reflecting stronger investment activity, with the investment rate climbing to 16.1% from 15.1% a year earlier.

Net exports made a positive contribution to GDP, as exports expanded by 10.8% while imports increased by a slightly lower 10.4%. By contrast, domestic demand grew by 3.5%, marginally below the 3.7% recorded in Q1, held back by slower growth in household consumption (2.8% versus 3.3% in Q1) and public spending (1.7% versus 6.0%).

On a seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP rose by 1.0% in Q2, following a 0.6% increase in the previous quarter and coming in just above the 0.9% market estimate.
